Location is at the heart of the appeal of Meadow Valley, a community built by Shugart Enterprises in northern High Point. The neighborhood offers easy access to the other Triad cities – Greensboro, Kernersville and Winston-Salem – via the nearby major highways of I-40, NC 68 and the 311 bypass.
In addition to the community’s convenience to other destinations, Linda Weaver, new homes sales consultant for Shugart Enterprises, noted the many shopping, dining and entertainment options near to Meadow Valley. “Within five miles you’ll find shopping, restaurants, wellness and entertainment at The Palladium at Deep River,” Weaver said. “It’s also convenient to the Piedmont Triad Farmer’s Market and new state-of-the-art medical centers. For recreation, it’s within three miles of Oak Hollow Lake.”
While Meadow Valley’s location is sure to attract attention, the homes themselves provide choices to suit just about any stage in life. “Whether you’re a grandparent or a growing family, we have a plan that will work for every buyer,” Weaver explained. “There are open floor plans that are great for entertaining or spending time with the family.”
Meadow Valley offers 20 home plans that range in size from just over 1,500 square feet to around 3,000 square feet. All of the plans include two-car garages. Buyers can choose from plans that have three to five bedrooms, as well as the option to add a sunroom or screened-in porch. Prices start in the $150,000s. The community is currently building in its first phase, with 115 home sites, but plans include three phases in all.
Nine of the home plans available in Meadow Valley are single-level designs. Included in these are three plans that give home buyers the option of adding a room over the garage. Two other designs offer a split-bedroom plan, with the master bedroom on the opposite side of the house from the second and third bedrooms.
The remaining 11 plans are two-story designs. Seven of the plans feature all the bedrooms on the second floor, in addition to a loft space. The largest of these designs, the Hampstead, is just over 3,000 square feet and gives home buyers the option to turn the loft area into a fifth bedroom and add a third bathroom. The remaining four two-story designs provide a master suite on the main level. The largest of these plans, the Dartmouth, allows for a master suite on the main level and one on the second floor. The plan is just under 3,000 square feet with a total of four bedrooms and a loft area that can be made into a fifth bedroom.
In addition to the layout choices Shugart offers in Meadow Valley, there is a wide selection of other upgrades and amenities that home buyers can pick from at Shugart Enterprises’ sales center. Custom interior options include hardwood floors, granite countertops, ceramic backsplashes, upgraded appliances, upgraded lighting fixtures and crown molding. Home buyers can also opt to put cathedral ceilings in the single-floor plans or 9-foot ceilings on the first floor of the two-story plans.
Weaver adds that there are many exterior options for buyers to select from. “Plans offer options of having different elevations,” she said. “Buyers can do traditional as well as craftsman style architecture on many of our plans. People can add additional brick or stone to the exterior – all of this gives the houses a distinctive look.” Another option buyers have is to add an Energy Star package to their home.
All of Meadow Valley’s homes come with a one-year workmanship warranty through Shugart Enterprises, and a 10-year structural warranty through Quality Builders. The neighborhood offers amenities such as sidewalks and street lights, as well as wooded and cul-de-sac lots. In the future, Meadow Valley will also have a pool and bathhouse.
Currently, Shugart Enterprises is offering the “Pick Your Pots of Gold” Incentive for home buyers. There are four packages buyers can select from. These include a stainless appliance package, a kitchen upgrade package, a luxury master bath package and a deluxe fireplace package. The incentive is available for buyers who write a contract for a new home during the month of March. Home buyers can choose any two of the four packages. On top of that, buyers who decide to build in March are eligible for 5,000 points that can be put toward additional upgrades or closing costs. All of the incentives are based on using Shugart Enterprises’ preferred lender and attorney.
Shugart Enterprises has been building homes locally since 1966. In 2010, Shugart Enterprises was ranked as the largest Triad home builder.
