With a range of incentives to choose from, as well as great amenities, the Planter’s Walk development offers a lot to first-time home buyers or young families. The Davidson County community has lower county taxes than Guilford County, but because the area is in the City of High Point it benefits from High Point city services.
Marketed by Ed Price & Associates with homes built by Shugart Enterprises, Planter’s Walk will encompass 200 homes upon completion, ranging in price from $129,000 to $160,000. Construction has just begun and onsite sales agent Susan Woody described the community as having “kind of a country feel.” She added, “But it is still so convenient to High Point and close to all the city’s amenities.”
Amenities home buyers at Planter’s Walk can take advantage of include a clubhouse and pool, as well as a playground area and walking trails. The homeowners’ association dues are only $33 a month.
Planter’s Walk will feature 10 of Shugart Enterprises Simply Shugart Plans. The plans start at just over 1,300 square feet and go up to more than 2,500 square feet. Home buyers can choose between one- and two-story plans. Some two-story plans offer main level master bedrooms. Other plans give the option of a loft or additional bedroom.
The Jasmine and Oakwood are both one-story designs with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each has a two-car attached garage. The Sheffield is a one-level plan with the option of a second floor bonus room. It also features three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The remaining four plans, the Sherwood, Hawthorne II, Brunswick and Havelock are three bedroom, two-and-a-half bath homes. These two-story designs give buyers the option of a fourth bedroom or a loft area upstairs.
Shugart Enterprises is offering home buyers a range of incentives to make Planter’s Walk their new home. “The incentives are awesome,” said Woody. If you are building your new home, Shugart Enterprises has the “Birthday Incentive,” celebrating their 45 years in business. Buyers can select either a stainless appliance package with a microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and smooth top range, or a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, an undermount sink, upgraded faucets and a ceramic backsplash.
Pre-sale buyers can also take advantage of Shugart Enterprises “Take Your Picks for Points” incentive. This incentive lets buyers choose from three categories – finishing touches, home enhancements or conveniences – to personalize their homes. Each offering in the category is equal to a certain number of points and buyers can pick choices that add up to 5,500 points. This incentive is also available to anyone purchasing an already built home.
Woody said he has found that many buyers are extremely pleased by the service they receive from Shugart Enterprises. “Everybody loves Shugart,” she said. “They pay attention to detail and quality and customer service. The last couple I worked with just raved about the customer service they got from Shugart.”
Woody shared that the couple also found the Planter’s Walk community to be very welcoming with a great family atmosphere. “That couple, when they built, decided to do their own landscaping and all their neighbors helped,” she said. “The neighbors really help each other and take care of other neighbors.”
Shugart Enterprises has been building homes in the triad since 1966. The company has been recognized as the area’s largest home builder for the past several years. Ed Price & Associates Realtors was established in 2002 and since that time has focused on selling homes in the triad area. The full service company offers both residential and commercial Real Estate properties.
